The lines start
by cutting up the space and are then carved into and refined
through the process of drawing over a long period of time.
Due to the small tool, i.e. the pen nib, I can scratch and
carve away at the surface conjuring up new forms rather
like a sculptor working with stone. The drawings could refer
to the inside of the body, underwater sea-life or microscopic
worlds - however they all hint at something beneath the
surface bursting and bubbling away. All the drawings are
pen and ink unless stated otherwise.
